About MedStork Rx

MedStork Rx is a privately owned specialty pharmacy that dispenses medications for injured workers and people hurt in auto accidents. We are not a high-volume retail chain. You will not float between stores, work retail nights, or cover weekends and holidays.

We pay at or above corporate pharmacy rates and we keep the schedule that chain jobs rarely offer: Monday through Friday, 9 to 5, no weekends, no holidays.

The role

As Pharmacist in Charge, you are the pharmacist of record for the pharmacy and the person accountable for lawful, safe operations under the Texas Pharmacy Act and Texas State Board of Pharmacy rules. You will run daily dispensing, lead the team, and own compliance — not just fill prescriptions.

What you will do

• Serve as the designated Pharmacist-in-Charge and remain responsible for the practice of pharmacy at this location
• Oversee daily operations: prescription review, accuracy, labeling, counseling, and timely dispensing for workers’ compensation and auto-injury patients
• Supervise, train, and schedule pharmacy technicians and support staff
• Maintain procurement, storage, security, and diversion controls, including controlled-substance accountability and DEA requirements
• Keep complete, inspection-ready records and policies, and lead responses to Board, payer, and client audits
• Work with physicians, case managers, adjusters, and attorneys on medication access, prior authorizations, and therapy questions common in injury claims
• Protect patient privacy under HIPAA and applicable workers’ compensation rules
• Advise ownership on operations, staffing, and workflow so the pharmacy stays compliant as volume grows

What you need

• Active, unrestricted Texas pharmacist license in good standing, and eligibility to serve as PIC
• PharmD or equivalent degree from an accredited program
• Working knowledge of Texas pharmacy law, controlled-substance rules, and recordkeeping
• Prior PIC, pharmacy manager, or lead-pharmacist experience preferred
• Experience with workers’ compensation, personal-injury, or other specialty or third-party billing is a plus
• Additional state pharmacist licenses are preferred
• Bilingual English and Spanish is a strong plus, not a requirement
• Clear communication with patients, prescribers, and non-clinical partners
