Our values ask for a deeper level of commitment, and what is asked of us we freely give because we believe in our mission.Required Qualifications:Current licensure by the State Board of Nursing of New Mexico or compact (multi-state) licenseBasic Life Support (BLS) CertificationMust meet the requirements for obtaining and maintaining life support certifications as outlined in the Life Support Certification policy.Three (3) years minimum critical care experienceNRP certification within one (1) yearCFRN within two (2) years of employmentMeets flight weight of less than two hundred twenty-five (225) poundsPreferred Qualifications:Certifications such as CEN, CCRN, ATCN, TPATC, etc. attained within two (2) yearsEMT Basic, Intermediate, or ParamedicAdvanced training in trauma, critical care, high risk OB, pediatrics, etcDuties and Responsibilities:Provides individualized patient care and maintains clinical competency appropriate for the area of practiceUnderstands and follows policy and procedure in addition to meeting licensure requirementsResponsive to current safety and quality initiatives and sustains improvementBuilds productive interpersonal relationships in every encounterDemonstrates teamworkActively participates in the departmentEach employee is responsible for implementing SJRMCs Service Standards into their daily work: Safety, Courtesy, Effectiveness, and StewardshipOther duties as assignedPhysical Demands and Environmental Work Conditions:Must be able to see with corrective eyewear and hear clearly with assistanceMust be able to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist frequentlyMust be able to lift greater than fifty (50) pounds and push zero to three hundred (0 300) pounds frequentlyPotential exposure to blood and bodily fluids and meets OSHA training requirementsSpecial Demands:Sets limits when dealing with angry, hostile, or sometimes verbally or physically abusive patients and families in an attempt to ensure a safe, respectful environment that will support the delivery of careEffectively copes and strives for balance when caring for acutely ill patients and families
